🎾 Game, Set, Matchmaker — A New Tennis Dating show?
The US Open is creating a new YouTube reality dating show called “Game, Set, Matchmaker.”
The eight-part series follows Ilana Sedaka, a 24-year-old “tennis-savvy bachelorette” looking for love amongst a set of suitors.
The series will be filmed entirely on the grounds of the US Open and feature a bunch of different creators and influencers.
Current brand sponsors of the US Open will be integrated within the show, which includes Dobel Tequila and Moët & Chandon.
At PWR House, we talk to a lot of brands trying to figure out how to create compelling content on social media. They’re usually asking questions about how to work with creators.
Well here’s one answer…create a YouTube-specific reality dating show that features a bunch of creators.
I’m not sure how good the show “Game, Set, and Matchmaker” will be, but it’s a unique way for people to associate the sport of tennis and specifically the US Open with the culture of dating.
These types of reality dating shows are also massive for brand integrations. The brands sponsoring the US Open should see the value in having their brand associated.
Love Island USA did a really good job with this in their last season.
I look forward to seeing how this show turns out. It’s a creative idea that brands, media properties, or other right holders should watch closely and figure out what they can learn from this example.
